2. ID Verification
All participants must present a valid government-issued photo ID before boarding. Failure to provide valid identification will result in denial of boarding without refund.
3. Property Care
Participants are expected to maintain the cleanliness and integrity of accommodations and their surroundings. Responsible tourism practices must be followed at all times.
4. Personal Belongings
Participants are solely responsible for their personal belongings, including luggage and valuables. Backpackers Community is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to items during transit or stay.
5. Accommodations
In remote or rural areas, basic accommodations are provided. Facilities like 24-hour electricity, hot water, and Wi-Fi may not be available.
6. Room Categories
All packages include standard rooms. Upgraded rooms may be requested at additional cost, subject to availability at the property.
7. Similar Accommodations
For large groups, participants may be accommodated in multiple hotels. While room quality may vary slightly, we strive to ensure similar standards of comfort.
8. Meal Plans
Meals are usually served as set menus or buffets. Snacks, desserts, and beverages may not be included and can be purchased separately.
9. Participation in Activities & Safety
All adventure and outdoor activities are undertaken at the participant’s own risk. Participants must follow the safety instructions provided by trek leaders or guides. Backpackers Community is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages during the trip.
10. Travel Insurance & Medical Expenses
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance covering health, accidents, and emergencies. All medical expenses and evacuation costs during the trip are the participant’s responsibility.
11. Misconduct & Termination
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of misconduct, harassment, or disturbance toward team members, fellow travelers, or locals. Any participant engaging in such behavior will be removed from the trip without refund and will bear all related costs.
12. Drugs & Narcotics
Possession or use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Any participant found engaging in such activities does so at their own risk, and Backpackers Community will not be held liable for any legal or personal consequences.
13. Punctuality & Missed Transfers
Participants must adhere to the trip schedule. Failure to report on time for transfers, buses, or activities will result in missed services without refund. Two courtesy calls will be made before departure.
14. Mode of Transport
Depending on the batch size, transport may vary (e.g., Ertiga, Tempo Traveller, Bus, etc.).
15. Unforeseen Circumstances
Backpackers Community is not responsible for delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations due to natural disasters, political unrest, or government restrictions. Any additional costs incurred due to such events are the participant’s responsibility.
16. Payment Policy
Full payment must be completed before the start of the trip. Unpaid bookings may be cancelled without notice, and the seat will be allotted to another participant.
17. Transfer of Bookings
Bookings are non-transferable. Only the names confirmed at the time of booking are allowed to participate.
18. Discounts & Offers
All discounts or offers are subject to change or withdrawal without prior notice.
19. Non-Refundable Inclusions
No refunds will be provided for any trip inclusions that participants choose not to utilize.
20. Alcohol & Smoking
Consumption of alcohol or smoking during the trip is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal without refund.
21. Liability for Accidents & Injuries
Backpackers Community and its agents are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or deaths resulting from negligence, natural causes, or external factors.
22. Itinerary Changes Due to Weather or Road Conditions
Backpackers Community reserves the right to alter or reschedule the itinerary in the interest of safety or due to unpredictable weather or road conditions.
23. Emergency Evacuations
In the event of a medical emergency, evacuation or transport costs will be borne by the participant or their family.
24. Borrowing Money
Backpackers Community is not responsible for any personal financial transactions or money lending between participants.
25. Dispute Resolution
All disputes will be governed by the laws of India, under the jurisdiction of the city where Backpackers Community is registered.
26. Tour Discontinuation
If a participant leaves the trip midway due to illness, emergencies, or loss of documents, no refund will be issued for unused services.
27. Volvo Bus Arrangements
Volvo services from the base location are managed by third-party operators. In case of breakdowns or delays, replacement buses will be arranged where possible.
28. Triple-Sharing Rooms
For triple-sharing stays, an extra mattress (not a full bed) will be provided to the third guest to maintain affordability and comfort.
29. Trip Delays & Transport Failures
- Best Efforts: All travel plans are arranged with trusted operators based on experience.
- Unforeseen Issues: Vehicle breakdowns, traffic, roadblocks, or weather-related delays may occur.
- No Liability: Backpackers Community is not liable for delays or missed connections due to these circumstances.
- Alternate Arrangements: We will make every effort to find alternative travel options.
- Participant Costs: Costs for such alternatives are to be borne by the participant.
- Communication: Updates will be provided promptly in case of delays.
- Buffer Time: Participants are advised to plan for possible delays in connecting transport.
30. Use of Photos & Videos
Backpackers Community reserves the right to use photos and videos captured during trips for promotional purposes across digital and print media. All digital content created during the trip remains the property of Backpackers Community.
