Our adventure begins with an overnight journey from Mumbai or Pune to Bamnoli village. From there, a scenic boat ride across the beautiful waters of Shivsagar Lake takes us towards the starting point of the Vasota Jungle Trek.

Surrounded by lush greenery and dense forest, the trail leads us towards the historic Vasota Fort, where breathtaking views of the Sahyadri mountains await.

After an adventurous day of trekking, unwind at our campsite, enjoy a beautiful sunset, share stories around a bonfire, and make new friends with fellow travellers.

The next morning, we head towards Ajinkyatara Fort, a historic hill fort offering beautiful views of Satara city and the surrounding landscape.

Morning – Boat Ride to Vasota Trek Starting Point

Board a boat for a scenic journey across Shivsagar Lake. Enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills and forest landscapes as you approach the trek's starting point.

Morning to Afternoon – Vasota Fort Trek

Begin the trek through the dense forest towards Vasota Fort.

Enjoy the wilderness, explore the historic fort, and admire the spectacular Sahyadri landscapes from the top.

Take time to explore the fort and capture memorable photographs.

Afternoon – Lunch & Return Journey

After exploring Vasota Fort, begin the return trek towards the boat boarding point.

Board the boat and return towards Bamnoli before proceeding to the campsite.

Evening – Campsite Experience

Reach the campsite, settle in, and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation after an adventurous day.

  • A sturdy 30–40 litre backpack.

  • Minimum 3 litres of drinking water.

  • Good-quality trekking shoes with a strong grip.

  • Torch or headlamp with extra batteries.

  • Full-sleeve T-shirts and full-length trekking pants.

  • Rainwear or windcheater, depending on the forecast.
